320-Hour

Enhance your Yoga Practice
& Embody your True Self
Are you ready for the next step on a transformative journey that will not only deepen your personal practice but also empower you to share the profound wisdom of yoga with the world? Our 320-hour Holistic Yoga Teacher Training is a program designed for those seeking to truly come home to themselves, cultivate authentic community, and emerge as trauma-informed, integrated, embodied leaders.
This 11 month training runs January - November and is designed for individuals who have already completed a 200 hour YTT and are ready to commit to profound personal and professional growth.
Applications for our 2027 program open July 1st!
This training is not just about advancing as a yoga teacher; it's about becoming a more authentic, embodied, and compassionate human being ready to serve the world.
Program Overview
Just like our 230hr YTT at Yoga Sanctuary, we will focus on teaching and experiencing holistic yoga. This means breath-centered yoga that helps regulate the nervous system and manage the energetic body. We include teaching through a trauma-informed lens, prioritizing safe alignment, and drawing from the ancient yogic philosophies so that our practice is about coming home to the whole self.

Why Choose Our Advanced 320-Hour Holistic Yoga Teacher Training?
We believe that impactful teaching stems from deep self-understanding and a fertile ground of personal experience. Our curriculum is thoughtfully crafted to guide you through a holistic exploration of mind, body, and spirit.
Embodiment and Functional Movement: Reconnect with your innate wisdom through a profound exploration of functional anatomy and intelligent sequencing. You'll gain a deep understanding of how to move in and cue the body with precision and intention, fostering greater awareness, mobility, stability, strength, and freedom for yourself and your students.
Trauma-Informed Approach: Learn to create safe, inclusive, and healing spaces for all students. Our training provides you with the knowledge and sensitivity to understand the impact of trauma on the body and mind, enabling you to teach with compassion and awareness.
Deep Self-Exploration: This training is an invitation to journey into your deepest self. Through introspective practices, contemplative exercises, and powerful self-inquiry, you'll uncover your authentic voice and cultivate the inner resources to share your unique gifts with the world.
Community and Connection: Experience the power of being in and creating conscious community. You'll forge meaningful connections with fellow HYTT students, creating a supportive network that will uplift and inspire you long after the training concludes.
Social Justice and Equity: We believe that the practice of yoga inherently calls us to work towards a more just and equitable world. We are looking for applicants who are willing to explore and are committed to social justice through the lens of yoga. This includes a willingness to explore how power, privilege, and systemic oppression impact individuals and communities, both within and beyond the yoga world, and how yoga can be a tool for liberation and positive social change.
Sharing Yoga with the Broader Community: While this training is deeply personal, it also prepares you to share the transformative power of yoga with others. We are looking for individuals who feel called to contribute to the well-being of their communities through the wisdom of yoga.
Share Your Best with the World: Our ultimate goal is to empower you to become a confident, compassionate, and effective holistic yoga teacher. You'll graduate with not only advanced teaching skills but also a profound sense of purpose and ready to share your light with the world and make a real difference in your family, communities, and the world in your own unique way.

Our desire is that you feel fully equipped to share yoga with the world, and we’ve created a mentorship component that supports your confidence as you embody your true self as a yoga teacher! Throughout the 11 month program this includes:
1:1 mentorship as you create a sequence, teach a free community class at Yoga Sanctuary, and receive feedback. Each student is assigned a seasoned yoga teacher for the entirety of the program, so that goals and feedback can progress as students grow
feedback and encouragement while leading groups. Each student will step into an opening/closing breathwork, dharma talk, practice summary presentation, small group poses and many more opportunities
We emphasize learning how to skillfully guide personalized one-to-one sessions with clients, including a complete intake process and creating sequences based on their needs
-
Our program dedicates many hours to learn how to create inclusive spaces for students who have experienced trauma and practice teaching these elements for yourself. Trauma-Informed yoga is in high demand and this training will provide you a solid foundation to create classes that help students heal, integrate, and come back into the body with topics including:
Neurobiology of Trauma - Explore how trauma affects the physical body and the nervous system including polyvagal theory.
Creating a Safe Space - Learn how to use clear, empowering language and sequencing to foster a sense of choice, security and agency.
Awareness of Racial and Generational Trauma - Understand how systemic oppression can manifest in the body.
Ethical Considerations - Understand the scope of a yoga teacher's role and when it's appropriate to refer students to mental health professionals.
Embodied Practices - Explore specific techniques, such as grounding and breathwork, that can help students reconnect with their bodies at their own pace.
The 8-hour training of “Teaching Yoga Through a Trauma-Informed Lens” component is included in the cost and structure of the program.
-
One unique aspect of our program is that you will be practicing yoga for free with our team of teachers outside of our designated training hours.
You can pick any Yoga Sanctuary class that is led by HYTT-300 faculty and design the schedule or style that suits you best. We have included 32 free classes at Yoga Sanctuary as part of our Practice Assignment because we want to support you to build a constant and sustainable practice throughout the year, hopefully attending class about once a week.
Studying with the Seasons
-
In winter, we will build vital nourishment, balance Vata, and study foundational yoga philosophy together. Working with the energy of the season we will cultivate personal practice through self-inquiry and shadow work and to counter the seasons isolating tendencies, we will build community and deep, grounded connections.
-
In Spring, we will embrace radiance and transformation by overcoming personal obstacles, focusing on inclusive and accessible yoga practices led by Jivana Heyman’s Yoga Revolutions. We will also study updated body anatomy and apply Ayurvedic Spring wellness to balance Kapha, sparking growth and clearing out stagnant energy.
-
In the Summer, we will channel spacious and inspired Prana energy by lightening our schedule to balance Pitta through restorative yoga, creative practices, and spiritual study. Our collective focus will deepen through discussions on the Bhagavad Gita.
-
In Fall, we will embrace Sattva to find peace and compassion by balancing Vata energy through grounding Ayurvedic practices and self-reflection. Under mentored support, we will also learn to teach through a trauma-informed lens and connect deeply with individuals to help them find personalized balance.
Your Trainers
Our collaborative team of trainers share their specific expertise so that you can connect with a wide range of voices and topics. Tracy Vacura, Laura Reese + Courtney Dingman provide the stable structure of the program as Core Teachers.
At each session, a Core Teacher is present to guide your practice, but also to hold space for our many wonderful Faculty Trainers, including Shelley Pagitt, Marjorie Grevious, Krista Lindgren, Vanashree Belgamwar and Julia Britzius.
