Henry James Walker
Yoga Instructor
Henry James Walker (he/him, they/them) is excited to join the Yoga Sanctuary team!
Henry’s practice includes somatics through yoga and alexander technique, undoing patriarchy and white supremacy, roots of physical theatre and comedy, and community organizing.
Wearing many hats - he is a community member of the Powderhorn neighborhood of Minneapolis, a Yoga Teacher at Carpe Diem in St. Anthony, an Alexander Technique student through Soma Studios Minnesota, a co-facilitator with White Men for Racial Justice, a collaborator with the Improv Movement Project, and works full time in Business Development for a company called Urban3.
Originally from the Seattle Area, Henry spent 4 years running around in the Chicago physical theater and improv scene and previously worked at the Center for Economic Inclusion in St. Paul, where he supported the racial equity consulting team with clients all around the Twin Cities and beyond.
As a student of yoga, alexander technique, anti-racist facilitation, and clown, Henry brings to his classes humility, softness, humor, and an offering to unravel what we have wound up within ourselves.
