  • New Year Sankalpa

Sunday Jan 25th | with Shelley Pagitt

Sankalpa is more than just a New Year’s resolution. It is a vow to live in accordance with our highest truth, our spirit. Through the sankalpa practice, we embed this vow into the deeper realms of our unconscious - which truly governs us. In Sanskrit texts Sankalpa is the most valuable ingredient that transforms an ordinary affirmation into an experiential truth.

In this special workshop, you’ll explore your inner-desires, and find contemplative guidance through movement, stillness, meditation and self-reflective practices to help guide you to toward your own personal sankalpa.

  • Sound Healing

Sunday Jan 25th | with Angie Ellen

Please join us in this supportive community setting to experience the healing potential of therapeutic instruments. Class begins with a 20-minute Qi practice. Participants then settle into a lying position for a brief guided visualization. The remainder of class is filled with meditative sound from crystal singing bowls, gong, drums, chimes and/or voice.

Angie guides Qi gong and creates sound based on ancient Chinese wisdom, where each season is associated with specific physical, mental/emotional and spiritual energies.

  • Yoga & Acupuncture

Sunday Jan 18th with Little House of Acupuncture

This workshop is designed to support deep, restorative sleep and help you embrace the Yin energy of winter. Although January can tempt us toward new plans and outward momentum, we are still within the deep rest of the Water season, governed by the Kidney meridian. This workshop will begin with gentle yoga to encourage grounding energy, followed by an extended savasana with an acupuncture treatment selected to help you sleep deeply and soundly when you go home.

Ignite the transformative and healing power of yoga — together

The practice of yoga tells us that everything we need for peace and wholeness is already inside us, but living and practicing yoga is best done in the context of a supportive community. Together, we will work to ignite the transformative and healing power of being fully present in our bodies and in our lives.

Giving Yoga to All

As a holistic, nonprofit, neighborhood studio in South Minneapolis, we are committed to increasing access to safe, fun, relational yoga for ALL who desire it. We intentionally keep our class and workshop prices as low as possible, but this is still not affordable for some folks. There is an increased sense of division in our culture, including yoga. The heart and soul of yoga is to UNIFY — within ourselves, outwardly with others and expansively with the Divine/Creation/Universe.

We have outreach yoga programs in which we subsidize yoga for individuals and groups. We invite you to join us in SHARING ABUNDANTLY. If you share our values and want to help others find inner and outer healing through yoga, please donate.
